RE: One Day in GOD's Time
Body: From: Army Of (the) One
Date: Jul 28, 2007 1:31 PM

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
[Psalms 118:24]

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance;
but the Lord looks at the heart."
[I Samuel 16:7]

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
[Proverbs 13:3]

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything..
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
[Galatians 6:9-10]

5. Look Up !!...
To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
[Philippians 4:13]

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path."
[Proverbs 3:5-6]

7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything;
instead PRAY ABOUT
EVERYTHING."
[Philippians 4:6]

Serenity of the waters…
Of the creek that's lined with trees…
Is such a calming feeling…
And sets our mind at ease…

God's beauty is so prevalent…
Pine trees reaching high…
The waters softly ripple…
Mountain peaks reach to the sky…

The birds in the trees sing their songs…
Merrily chirping away…
As if they are trying to tell us…
It's the beginning of another day…

In awe of the surrounding beauty…
I sit on the shore and stare…
At all of the nature around me…
On the ground and in the air…

I reflect on nature's beauty…
A tear glistens in my eye…
I say a thank you for blessings we have…
To our awesome God on high…

The Frog and Golf

THIS IS HILARIOUS!
DO NOT SAVE - PASS ON

A man takes the day off work and
decides to go out golfing.
He is on the second hole when he
notices a frog sitting next to
the green.
He thinks nothing of it and is

about to shoot when he

hears, Ribbit 9 Iron."

The man looks around and doesn't

see anyone. Again, he
hears, "Ribbit 9 Iron." He looks
at the frog and decides to

prove the frog wrong, puts the
club away, and grabs a 9 iron.

Boom!
He hits it 10 inches from the

cup. He is shocked. He says
to the frog, "Wow that's amazing.

You must be a lucky frog, eh?

The frog replies, "Ribbit Lucky frog."
The man decides to take the frog
with him to the next hole.

"What do you think frog?" the

man asks. "Ribbit 3 wood."

The guy takes out a 3 wood and,
Boom! Hole in one. The

man is befuddled and doesn't know

what to say. By the end

of the day, the man golfed the

best game of golf in his life and
asks the frog, "OK where to next?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit Las Vegas.

" They go to Las Vegas
and the guy says, "OK frog, now
what?" The frog says, "Ribbit Roulette." Upon
approaching the roulette table, The man

asks, "What do you think I should
bet?" The frog replies, "Ribbit
$3000, black 6."

Now, this is a
million-to-one shot to win, but
after the golf game the man

figures what the heck.

Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table.

The man takes his winnings and
buys the best room in the
hotel. He sits the frog down and
says, "Frog, I don't know how to repay you.
You've won me all this money and
I am forever grateful."

The frog replies,

"Ribbit KissMe."
He figures why not,

since after all the frog did for
him, he deserves it. With a
kiss, the frog turns into a
gorgeous 15-year-old girl. "And that,

your honor, is how the girl

ended up in my room. So help me God

or my name is not William Jefferson Clinton."

Subject: Back By Demand... Dinner With Barack!
Body: After watching the video of the first Dinner with Barack,
thousands of you sent messages asking for another opportunity to participate.

As much as you enjoyed the dinner, no one enjoyed it more than Barack. As soon as it was over he asked, "When are we doing the next one?"

So, let's make this happen again. Use this opportunity to get involved with the campaign. Make a donation in any amount today, and you could have the opportunity to sit across the dinner table from Barack Obama. Here are the details:

If you make a donation in any amount, even as little as five dollars, before 11:59 pm EDT on Tuesday, July 31st, you could join Barack Obama and three other supporters for an intimate dinner for five:

Dinner with Barack

Barack's guests told us that the dinner worked out even better than they expected. The casual, friendly atmosphere allowed them to engage Barack on a number of issues that affect them personally.

One of the guests, Christina Cheatham, blogged about her experience:

"The Senator not only spoke candidly with us about many different issues, but he also took interest in how some of the current policies affect our daily lives.

Most important to me, while he is very confident in his own ideas for America, he is still willing to listen -- really listen -- to dissenting views."

Dinner with Barack

Watch a short video of Barack's dinner with Christina, Haile, Margaret, and Michael. They discussed the war in Iraq, student loans, health care, and urban poverty.

What issues are important to you, and what would you ask Barack if you had the chance?

Share your story and make a small donation before 11:59 pm EDT on Tuesday, July 31st, and you could have dinner with Barack:

Dinner with Barack

At a time when Washington lobbyists and special interests are poisoning our politics with their influence, Barack Obama wants to sit down with you and hear what's on your mind.

Our movement has rejected the easy money of politics as usual. Instead, we put our faith in you, and more than a quarter-million supporters have proven that we made the right decision.

The vast majority -- more than 90% -- of our donations came from supporters giving $100 or less. However, to make a lasting change in this country we must keep building this base of support.

Make a small donation and you could have the kind of dinner with Barack that other politicians reserve for the wealthy elite:

Dinner with Barack

Thank you for your support,

David

David Plouffe
Campaign Manager
Obama for America

P.S. -- Barack got involved in politics to advance the concerns of ordinary people and serve the common good of all Americans. There is no better source of ideas or inspiration to make this happen than an intimate conversation with supporters like you. Make a small donation before 11:59 pm on July 31st and you could have dinner with Barack:

If I don't get this back, I will know you really didn't read it. I got this from someone and thought the last part was really a good thought.

Too bad that the person who sent it to me did not know 10 people who would admit to knowing the Lord.

If I send this to you, please send it back so I will know that my friends do know the Lord.

I know 10 people.

Do You Love Him?

This is a simple test:

IF YOU LOVE JESUS, SEND
THIS TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING
THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU!

THE POEM
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

Now do you have the time
to pass it on?

It makes you think of the book, The BIble Code.
The pictures are fantasic....but wait until you read the words.

Q: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?

A: Psalms 117

Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?

A: Psalms 119

Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?

A: Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118

Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

Q: What is the center verse in the Bible?

A: Psalms 118:8

Q: Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives?

The next time someone says they would like to find

God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to

be in the center of His will, just send them to the

center of His Word!

Psalms 118:8

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?

Before sending this I said a prayer for you. Got a minute? 60 seconds for God?

All you do is say a small prayer for the person who sent you this.........

"Father God bless my friend in whatever it is that you know

he/she may be needing this day!

And may his/her life be full of your peace,

prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a

closer relationship with You.

Amen"
Then send it on to 10 other people. Within hours 10 people have prayed

for you, and you caused a multitude of people to pray to God for other people

Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life...
When things get tough, always remember...

Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it !!

God Bless You!

shoe bomber

I verified this on truth or fiction....it is TRUE!

Remember the guy who got on a plane with a bomb built into his shoe and tried to light it?

Did you know his trial is over?
Did you know he was sentenced?
Did you see/hear any of the judge's comments on TV or radio?

Didn't think so

Everyone should hear what the judge had to say;

Ruling by Judge William Young, US District Court.

Prior to sentencing, the Judge asked the defendant, Richard Reid, if he had anything to say. His response: After admitting his guilt to the court for the record, Reid also admitted his "allegiance to O sama bin Laden, to Islam, and to the religion of Allah," defiantly stating, "I think I will not apologize for my actions," and told the court "I am at war with your country."

Judge Young then delivered the statement quoted below:

January 30, 2003, United States vs. Reid.
Judge Young:

"Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you.

On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General. On counts 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutively. (That's 80 years.)

On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years again, to be served consecutively to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you for each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 that's an aggregate fine of $2 million. The Court accepts the government's recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines.

The Court imposes upon you an $800 special assessment.
The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further.

This is the sentence that is provided for by our statutes. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence.

Now, let me explain this to you. We are not afraid of you or any of your terrorist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is too much war talk here and I say that to everyone with the utmost respect. Here in this court, we deal with individuals as individuals and care for individuals as individuals. As human beings, we reach out for justice.

You are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to c all you a soldier, gives you far too much stature. Whether the officers of government do it or your attorney does it, or if you think you are a soldier. You are not----- you are a terrorist. And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not meet with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.

So war talk is way out of line in this court. You are a big fellow. But you are not that big. You're no warrior. I've known warriors. You are a terrorist---a species of criminal that is guilty of multiple attempted murders. In a very real sense, State Trooper Santiago had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and the TV crews were, and he said: 'You're no big deal.'

You are no big deal.

What your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have, as honestly as I know how, tried to grapple with is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led you here to this courtroom today?

I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing? And, I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you, but as I search this entire record, it comes as close to understanding as I know.

It seems to me you hate the one thing that to us is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, to believe or not believe as we individually choose. Here, in this society, the very wind carries freedom. It carries it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom. So that everyone can see, truly see, that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discreetly. It is for freedom's sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf, have filed appeals, will go on in their representation of you before other judges.

We Americans are all about freedom. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden; pay any price, to preserve our freedoms. Look around this courtroom. Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. The day after tomorrow, it will be forgotten, but this, however, will long endure.

Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America , the American people will gather to see that justice, individual justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done. The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to mold and shape and refine our sense of justice.

See that flag, Mr. Reid? That's t he flag of the United States of America That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag stands for freedom. And it always will.

Mr. Custody Officer. Stand him down. "

So, how much of this Judge's comments did we hear on our TV sets? ;We need more judges like Judge Young, but that's another subject. Pass this around. Everyone needs to hear what this fine judge had to say. Powerful words that strike home. God bless America

Please forward this----------so that every American has a chance to read it.
