I’m a twenty-four year old male and I have mild cerebral palsy, we have all heard the saying, “What a difference a year makes.” That saying is true.

Last year I wrote close to 25 columns on various subjects that I have now published on the “JOSHUA TIME BLOG.” I emailed and went and saw the local newspapers here in London, Ky. The NEWS JOURNAL and the SENTINEL-ECHO they both said they were not hiring however told me they would publish my columns. I saw the editor of the sentinel-echo he told me I had some of the best wrote papers he has seen in a long time. He told me even though they was not hiring he would publish my columns as a freelance writer I was and I guess I still am a freelancer. The editor is Dale G. Morton his email address is dgmorton@sentinel-echo.com email him if you think he was wrong or right for that matter, you the readers be the judge; however, check my archive though before deciding.

Also last year, I was almost evicted it started because Angel Marcum of professional home health, she stole my money almost 1000.00 and some medicine and she broke my confidentiality, which is against “hippa” she never got fired for that. She told my neighbors some lies here is what she told them, “I had pornography, I drunk, I walk around in my underwear.” I don’t do that stuff she continues, “My neighbors stole my money and my medicine and the cops are watching my neighbors house for drug activity.” I never said that, you see a half-truth or things that are added on to truths are still lies. I went to the cops but the cops could not do anything. Angel Marcum quit me and told the office something that was a lie when she was caught.

My neighbors almost had me evicted because this nosy neighbor old girl told every one I was walking around outside in my underwear. It was during the night and raining actually storming and she said that and that was a lie. I don’t even walk around my own house/apartment in my underwear. She made a choice to lie. People girls sat outside in their underwear/boxers all the time since I have been here and talked, talked about people, complained, ate, and drank, and they lied on me.

The girl that lied her “shack-up live in” boyfriend of I guess four years died in November. Her son and the “shack-up live in” boyfriend was having problems the “shack-up live in” boyfriend was on drugs. I feel he was murdered or has an over dose. This girl now has a new man and it has not been a year since her “shack-up live in” boyfriend died, however it has been a year since all the problems started.

The above about Angel Marcum happened last April that is April 2004 and the bit about the lies about me walking outside in my underwear happened last summer that is the whole summer of 2004. I stopped wearing shorts because I did not want to be accused of walking outside in my underwear. So, it will be interesting to see how this year plays out...

We make choices everyday. In 2003 I chose to move out of home and into a low-income apartment. I have learned a lot since moving and made some choices since moving. First I’ll give you the readers some things I have learned. My “friends” I got put on SSI because no one would hire me and because of my condition. I cried when I got my first check because I never wanted to be on it.

My “friends” for neighbors have tried to get on disability which is SSI they got turned down every time because there is nothing wrong with them, however, I got put on SSI because no one would hire me and because of my condition. I cried when I got my first check because I never wanted to be on it.

People also make a choice to be homosexual no one is born homosexual or lesbian. People make a choice to drink alcohol no one is forced to drink. People make choices to have sex unless your raped your not forced to have sex. People choose to get pregnant and abort the child, abortion is murder I don’t care how far a long a child is and it’s a child not a fetes. Abortion is murder just as much as shooting some one and killing them is murder. People make a choice to vote and vote republican or democrat, I thought we was all “one nation under God.” If people don’t vote they don’t need to complain about how the election went.

People make choices as In wrestling, one of the famous sayings of the group called the IV HORSEMEN mainly Ric Flair and Arn Anderson is “And that is the bottom line.” As one great man said, “This is not bought and paid for this is a real life situation.” This same great man said, “This might be my only shot so I am going to make it my best.” Choices, Ric Flair made a professional choice to come back to wrestling.

Like I said earlier I made a choice to move out of the comforts of home into an apartment. I have learned a lot from that choice. I have learned people will lie to get people evicted and people use their power to get and try to get people evicted.

We make choices everyday and as my best friend said, “For every decision/choice we make there are rewards and consequences for that decision/choice.”

Thanks for the comments it helps me know what to do and focus on now.

I type in caps for a couple reasons one reason, it is easier for me. The other reason I type in caps is the important stuff like news alers and so on, for example the gas news alert.
I apologize for typing in caps and bold because I realize it turns some people off now and I did not realize people thought I was yelling. I only type in caps when I feel subjects that are important need to be addressed at the very moment...

I have tried to focus on a topic everyday.

Check my archive for my columns I wrote over last year and you will see that I had a good focussed start however, no newspaper would publish my columns after telling me they would publish them. After the newspapers telling me they would publish my columns they did not. So, I'm just happy publishing my columns and getting my views, thoughts, and opinions in the form of my column "JOSHUA TIME" on the blog until I can do better this the best thing I can do for now.

I'd like to establish some readers that come back more and actually read my columns.

I don't mean for it to be like I'm shoutting or yelling I just try to get my points out there in thee best way that I can...

A MESSAGE I WROTE AND PREACHED

“THE BOTTOM LINE”

ISAIAH 53:1,4-5


Introduction:

In the schools and colleges, we would go talk to a professor about a paper, a grade, or an issue. In addition, your professor would say, “And that is the bottom line.” How many times has this happened?

In wrestling, one of the famous sayings of the group called the IV HORSEMEN mainly Ric Flair and Arn Anderson is “And that is the bottom line.”

As one great man said, “This is not bought and paid for this is a real life situation.” This same great man said, “This might be my only shot so I am going to make it my best.”

How many times have we asked God to heal us? Does God heal only certain people? Does God only heal certain diseases or problems? Does God only heal certain people?

Benny Hinn had a bad speech problem, got up to preach and now talks, speaks, preaches perfectly, he also has a healing ministry.

Savanna had a grandma seizure in 5th grade I believe it was they found a spot on her brain she felt led to get prayer and she is now healed.

Jan Aldridge had an enllogated tongue. she had some “broken pieces” she was abused in every way imaginable she was molested. She went to this pentocostalll church. Some woman preacher prayed for her and her tongue had got hot. She opened her mouth and her tongue went straight out. That same woman preacher prayed for her again this time Jan lifted her hands in surrender. The preacher said “in the name of Jesus.” And that tongue bowed and in an instant went down her throat and came back up. Now she is healed and preaches the gospel.

I have MILD CERBAL PALSY. I did not walk until I was eighteen months old but my mom went through a prayer line and she was believing for my healing for me to walk. She came home from “campmeeting” and I was walking.

Duck told us upstairs how he came here to get saved, every one was shoutting and all. That was funny how he told that. I share the salvation story of Duck because the greatest healing is not always physical but often times it is emotional and spiritual.

In our text what is the bottom line? “by whose stripes we are healed.”

PROPOSITION: WE ALL NEED HEALING


TRANSITION: SOME OF US NEED AN INNER HEALING

I. THE HEALING OF SALVATION (Romans 9:9-10 if anyone believes in their heart that Jesus died and was raised from the dead confess with their mouth they shall be saved with the heart one believes unto righteousness but with the mouth one confesses unto salvation) Romans 10:9-14. (Romans 12:2 we need to renew our mind) [lets look at the first part of Isaiah 53:5 “he was wounded for our transgressions bruised for our inquities…”]

A. DAMAGED GOODS we are damaged goods. Genesis chapter three the great fall, Caused us to be damaged goods. How many times have we heard he/she is damaged goods? Well its true for what ever reason we are all damaged goods until we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

B. God started the process of sacrifices in Genesis chapter three

C. Jesus ended the process of sacrifices in the four gospels it is told of his crucifixion and ultimately death. He speaks “father forgive them for they know not what they do.” John 19:30 he proclaims “It is finished.” The sacrificing is finished. He work that I was sent to do is finished.

The greatest miracle that God will ever do or has done in our lives is the healing of salvation.

D. The healing of the spirit emotions and soul 2 Chronicles 7:14 we must humble ourselves pray and turn from our wicked ways before God will forgive our sins and heal our land. This healing takes place over time.

TRANSITION: SALVATION IS ONE TYPE OF HEALING ANOTHER TYPE OF HEALING IS EMOTIONAL HEALING THE HEALING OF OUR EMOTIONS

II. THE EMOTIONAL HEALING [lets look at the middle part of Isaiah 53::5 …”the chastisement of our peace was laid uppon him…”

A. ISAIAH 61:1-2, LUKE 4:18-19, Set the captives free, heal bind up mend the broken hearted. [We can not help some one with a problem that we have not had ourselves.] That is why Jesus could heal the broken hearted because he had a broken heart when died he gave his all when the spear stuck him in the side out came blood and water.

B. MARK 4:35-41, PEACE, [Storms] we all go through storms but the thing to remember is that the major storm is in the mind, of course there are other storms that come our way but in all it takes place in the mind. If you will notice the people on the boat were fearful, it was all a mind game.

Jesus said in Mark 4:35 “let us go over to the other side” he did not tell the disciples and friends what they would face while going over to the other side. He did not tell them what they would face when they got to the other side see
Mark 5:1-25 demon possessed man needed healing of deliverance.

C. The healing of the mind Romans 12:2 this does not mean we are made perfect we are just healed of somethings that we have watched heard saw and done. This healing takes place over time.

JAN ALDRIDGE HAD BROKEN PIECES THAT NEEDED TO BE HEALED SHE HAD A BROKEN HEART AND A TROUBLED MIND. WE ALL HAVE BROKEN PIECES THAT NEED TO BE RESTORED WE NEED EMOTIONAL HEALING.
Storms can be when some one says something that hurts us. I have had many people say things that has hurt me.

TRANSITION: THERE IS MORE THAN THE HEALING OF SALVATION AND THE HEALING OF OUR EMOTIONS. ANOTHER TYPE OF HEALING IS HEALING FOR OUR PHYSICAL BODIES.

III. THE PHYSICAL HEALING [lets look at the bottom line to Isaiah 53:5 …”and by his stripes we are healed.”

A. Although it looks like healing in the Bible was instanaeous they actually took many years because healing takes place from the inside out. [Mark chapter 5 the woman with the issue of blood. She had to spend all she had she came to wits] end and finally said within herself “if I can but touch the hem of his garment I will be made whole] THE WOMAN HAD TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE LORD AS HE GOES BY YOU WILL FIND HE IS NOT TO BUSY TO HEAR YOUR HEARTS CRY HE IS PASSING BY THIS MOMENT ALL YOUR NEEDS HE WILL SUPPLY REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE LORD AS HE GOES BY

B. Mark 16: signs and wonders lay hands on the sick they recover
Matthew 10;8 Heal the sick raise the dead cleanse the leapers cast out devils.
Matthew 18: 21- healing of forgiveness, unforgiveness will and can stop our spiritual blessings (healings). Matthew 26:26-28 Jesus is scrouages beat on the back thirty-nine times if it has been told to me correctly there are thirty- nine diseases in the world today. Psalms 107:20 He sent his word and healed us from our diseases.

C. Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season a time under heaven for all things. An issue came up a couple weeks ago for me and it was reminded to me that its just for a season. But its all in time. Not our time but his time. Because if I had it my way I would have been healed 2 years ago 5 years ago. PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS TOLD ME THIS IS JUST A TEST. The test is to see how badly I want to be healed. James 1:3 the testing/trying of your faith works patience. Just like gold it is tested and tried to get all the impurities out.

TOUCH SOME ONE AND TELL THEM ITS JUST A TEST.

D. The healing of the body this is a definite process because although we want our physical bodies to be healed instantaneous it does not always happen that way; Matthew chapter eight the centurion servant is healed “…at that very hour.” It does not say instantaneous. .
I told you earlier how my mom had faith for me to walk at 18months old. Now as most of you know in 2002 I was in a wheelchair. My walking got bad on September 27th September 28th I had to be carried out of the chicken festival. September 29 prayer began By Joyce Reed, October first again prayer by the prayer corner that night was the first time I was able to put my left foot down flat. October 5th I got a haircutt it was Saturday

I had to be carried out of the barber shop; that night my barber called and prayed with me that Sunday October 5th. October 9 first trip to see Doctor, I had an xray it showed I had a 48degree curvature. I had been given steroid pills for the pain but it did not sit well with me I could not keep nothing down me for a week. I had a MRI that Tuesday October 15th the MRI did not show anything. I had a bone scan that Friday October 18th,
October 22nd I go back the doctor again to find out a small buldge and was given an order for a wheelchair. I felt like I had given up being in the chair and all given up on my healing given up on everything but people was praying for me. December first 2002 was my night for my first miracle God is not done yet but it was the first time I was able to walk in over 2 months and the first time I was able to walk normally. December first was my night for a miracle and again God is not done yet.

Friday December 6 the spirit of fear came on me some how I had to go back to the doctor December 13th Terry Reed prayed with me December 8th and the youth group prayed with me the 10th I went to the doctor that Friday to get another xray my back was 30-35degree curavature then 48degree now it is 25degrees

THAT IS WHY THE SONG NO WEAPON IS MY SONG CAUSE NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER IT WON’T WORK FOR GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO HE WILL STAND BY HIS WORD HE WILL COME THROUGH

GOD SPOKE TO ME 2000 TOLD ME HE WOULD HEAL ME AGAIN 2001 TOLD ME WHEN HE HEALS ME IT WILL BE SO MIRACULOUS NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO DENY THE MIRACLE. 2004 GOD SPOKE TO ME AND TOLD ME THIS MINE AND MY FAMILIES YEAR

Proverbs 23:7 as a man thinks in his heart so is he…

Notice it does not say they will recover 2 or 3 years ago or instantly or tomorrow but they shall recover

MIND GAMES

INTRO

I’m some one who will play any game with you basketball to whatever but when I’m serious I’m some one who don’t play no games. This is the time to when I don’t play no games.

There are a lot of mind games in sports games like basketball, football, and wrestling. Mind games by psyching your opponent out, one form of this is trash talking your opponent another form is preparing your own mind and getting yourself ready and pumped up there is a final form and that is eye contact.

See when you play basketball or any sport or even in school, if you think you will succeed you will proverbs 23:7 as one thinks in there heart so are they. You have to think positive know you can do good.

In wrestling before it got bad and before it became a soap opera, wrestlers would play mind games. “THE LIVING LEGEND” LARRY ZYBYSCO once said “It’s the human game of chess.” He basically said it’s a mind game.

There was a group in the 80’s and 90’s called THE HORSEMEN this group was a group of bad guys that would play mind games psychological warefare with all of the other wrestlers. One Sting and Ric Flair these two have a great feud and great chemistry but most importantly they both played mind games.

Diseases can be mind games, mind games of fear and failure. Donnie McClurkin had leukemia when he was a kid and his mom said we are not going to accept that today he is healed and sings the gospel.

B. Lets look at Samson and Peter they both fell and over came odds in different ways. Samson was a Nazerite. He was not allowed to touch any dead thing and he did in Judges 15 and he was not allowed to cutt his hair however he cut his hair well his “girlfriend” cutt his hair in Judges 16. The saddest words in the Bible are recorded in Judges 16 where it says Samson shook himself and knew not the spirit of the Lord had departed. Peter was one to always stick his foot in his mouth. He got out of the boat walked on water but sank. He was one that said Lord I’ll never deny you.
