TODAY'S INSPIRATION ........ HOW TO STAY YOUNG ... ... 1. Throw out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them. 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. (Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!) 3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's! 4. Enjoy the simple things 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with her/him ! 6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is our self. LIVE while you are alive. 7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge. 8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. 9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is. 10. Tell the people you love, that you love them - at every opportunity. And if you don't send this to at least four people - who cares? But do share this with someone.

A Christmas Poem>>Date: Thu, 16 Nov 2006 13:58:27 -0500>>>>>>>>The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,>>I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.>>My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,>>My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.>>Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,>>Transforming the yard to a winter delight.>>The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,>>Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.>>My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,>>Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.>>In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,>>So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.>>>>The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,>>But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.>>Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the>>sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.>>My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,>>And I crept to the door just to see who was near.>>Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,>>A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.>>>>A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,>>Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.>>Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,>>Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.>>"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,>>"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!>>Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,>>You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!">>>>For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,>>Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..>>To the window that danced with a warm fire's light>>Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,>>I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night." "It's my duty to stand>>at the front of the line,>>That separates you from the darkest of times.>>No one had to ask or beg or implore me,>>I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.>>My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,">>Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.">>My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam',>>And now it is my turn and so, here I am.>>I've not seen my own son in more than a while,>>But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.>>>>Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,>>The red, white, and blue... an American flag.>>I can live through the cold and the being alone,>>Away from my family, my house and my home.>>I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,>>I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.>>I can carry the weight of killing another,>>Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..>>Who stand at the front against any and all,>>To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.">>>>"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,>>Your family is waiting and I'll be all right.">>"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,>>"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?>>It seems all too little for all that you've done,>>For being away from your wife and your son.">>Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,>>"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.>>To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,>>To stand your own watch, no matter how long.>>For when we come home, either standing or dead,>>To know you remember we fought and we bled.>>Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,>>That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.">>>>PLEASE...>>Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you>>can?>>Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S.service>>men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's>>try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop>>and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for>>us.>> _________________________________________________________________

I believe this is the most beautiful email I have ever read

The Flute is beautiful.
One day, a man went to visit a church.
He got there early, parked his car, and got out.
Another car pulled up and the driver got out and said,"I always park there!
You took my place!"
The visitor went inside for Sunday School,
Found an empty seat and sat down.
A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat!
You took my place!"
The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.
After Sunday School, the visitor went into the Chapel for Sacrament and sat down.
Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit!
You took my place!"

The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.
Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them,
The visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change.
Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet.
Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out,
"What happened to you?"
The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns,
And a tear fell from his eye,
"I took your place."
When you receive this, say a prayer.
That's all you have to do.
There is nothing attached.
Then, send this to four people who come into your mind and see what happens.
Just by doing this one thing, we can create a powerful force within the world.
Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of
Who took our place.
Christ took our place.
It is now our turn to take his name upon us and stand up for him.
Do not break this, please. It is our place to help bring the world to peace.
Until we do, Christ can not return and
Take His place.

Still Answers> ==============> > A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible study.> The pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the> Lord's voice.> > The young man couldn't help but wonder,> "Does God still speak to people?"> > After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie> and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked> about how God had led them in different ways.> > It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving> home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray,> "God, if you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen.> I will do my best to obey."> > As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the> strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook> his head and said out loud,> > "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward> home. But again, the thought, "buy a gallon of milk."> > The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize> the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.> "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk."> > It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could> always use the milk.> > He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off> toward home. As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the> urge, "Turn down that street."> > "This is crazy," he thought and drove on past the intersection.> Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the> next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.> Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God I will."> > He drove several blocks when suddenly, he felt like he should> stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in> a semi-commercial area of town. It wasn't the best, but it> wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.> > The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark> like the people were already in bed. Again, he sensed> something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house> across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was> dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were> already asleep.> > He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.> "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake> them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid."> Again, he felt like he should go and give them the milk.> > Finally, he opened the door. "Okay God, if this is you, I will> go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to> look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess> that will count for something, but if they don't answer right> away, I am out of here."> > He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear> some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it?> What do you want?"> > Then the door opened before the young man could get away.> The man was standing there in his jeans and a t-shirt.> He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on> his face, and he didn't seem too happy to have a stranger> standing on his doorstep.> > "What is it?" The young man thrust out the gallon of milk.> "Here I brought this to you."> > The man took the milk and rushed down the hallway, speaking> loudly in Spanish. Then from down the hall came a woman> carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her> holding a baby.> > The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face.> The man began speaking and half-crying, "We were just praying.> We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money.> We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and> asking God to show me how to get some milk."> > His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I asked him to send an> Angel with some milk. Are you an Angel?"> > The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the> money he had on him and put it in the man's hand. He turned and> walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his> face.> > He knew that God still answers prayers.> > "Stop telling God how big your storm is.> Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!"> > > Author Unknown> > from The Mountain:> This classic story still touches me each time I read it.> God answers but usually it is through an obedient servant.> > We must realize that often the servant is sent to us to answer> our prayers, but more often,> > ...we are the servant who is sent.> > > Thank you for inviting MountainWings in your mailbox.> See you tomorrow.> > Send issue 3084 to a friend click http://www.ztaf.com/mw.htm> or click FORWARD on your email program to guarantee delivery.>
