Christian Thoughts> Don't let your worries get the best of you; remember, Moses> started out as> a basket case.> Some people are kind, polite,andsweet-spirited until you try to> sit in their pews. Many folks want to serve God, but only as> advisors. It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to> live one. The good Lord didn't create anything without a> purpose, but mosquitoes come close. When you get to your wit's> end, you'll find God lives there. People are funny; they want> the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back of> the church. Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on> your front door forever. Quit griping about your church; it> was perfect, you couldn't belong. If the church wants a better> pastor, it only needs to pray for the one it has. God Himself> does not propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should> you? Some minds are like concrete thoroughly mixed up and> permanently set. Peace starts with a smile. I don't know why> some people change churches; what difference does it make> which on you stay home from?! A lot of church members who are> singing "Standing on the Promises" are just sitting on the > premises. We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or> judges. Be ye fishers of men. You catch them - He'll clean> them.> Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous. Don't put> a question mark where God> put a period. Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to> church. Forbidden fruits create many jams. God doesn't call> the qualified, He qualifies the called. God grades on the> cross, not the curve. God loves everyone, but probably> prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious> nuts!" God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.> He who angers you, controls you! If God is your Co-pilot -> swap seats! Don't give God instructions -- just report for> duty! The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power> behind us. The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace> of God will not protect you. We don't change the message, the> message changes us. You can tell how big a person is by what it> takes to..........discourage him.> The best mathematical equation I have ever seen:> 1 cross + 3 nails= 4 given. The best vitamin for a Christian> is.......B1> > >

The Devil And The DuckThere was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grand! ma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said," Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's he finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing. But because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."Thought for the day and every day thereafter: Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done -- and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, debt, fear, hatred , anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, etc.) whatever it is, you need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing, He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not only forgives you, but He forgets - It is by God's Grace and Mercy that we are saved. Go ahead and make the difference in someone's life today. Share this with a friend and always remember ... God is at the window!...........

An atheist was quite incensed over the preparation for Easter and Passover holidays and decided to contact the local ACLU about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while the atheists had no holidays for them to celebrate. The ACLU jumped on the opportunity to once again pick up the cause of the downtrodden and assigned their sharpest attorney to the case. The case was brought up before a learned judge who after listening to the passionate presentation by the ACLU representative, promptly banged his gavel and said "Case dismissed!"The ACLU lawyer stood up and objected to the ruling and said "Your honor, how can you dismiss this case? Surely the Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. And the Jews-why in addition to Passover they have Yom Kippur and Hanukkah..... and yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!"The judge leaned back in his chair and simply said "Obviously your client is too confused to know about or for that matter even celebrate the atheists holiday!"The ACLU lawyer pompously said "We are aware of no such holiday for atheists-just when might that be?"The judge said "Well it comes every year at the same time--- April 1st"

DO YOU KNOW...the difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting!
Both have the same amount of calories.
Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.
Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine..
Very high in trans fatty acids...
Triple risk of coronary heart disease..
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) Lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol) Increases the risk of cancers by up to five fold... Lowers quality of breast milk...
Decreases immune response.
Decreases insulin response.

HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC...This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added to the molecular structure of the substance).
YOU can try this yourself: purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things: no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something) . it does not rot or smell differently...because it has no nutritional value, nothing will grow on it...even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?
Share this with your friends.....(Butter them up!)

Stop telling God how big your storm is.> Instead tell your storm how big your GOD is!> In Phoenix, Arizona , a 26-year-old mother stared> down at her 6 year old son, who was dying of> terminal leukemia. Although her heart was filled> with sadness, she also had a strong feeling of> determination. Like any parent, she wanted her> son to grow up and fulfill all his dreams. Now> that was no longer possible..> The leukemia would see to that. But she still> wanted her son's dreams to come true. She took> her son's hand and asked, "Billy, did you ever> think about what you wanted to be once you grew> up? Did you ever dream and wish what you would do> with your life?"> Mommy, "I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up."> Mom smiled back and said, "Let's see if we can> make your wish come true."> Later that day she went to her local fire> department in Phoenix, Arizona , where she met> Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Phoenix .> She explained her son's final wish and asked if> it might be possible to give her six-year-old son> a ride around the block on a fire engine.> Fireman Bob said, "Look, we can do better than> that. If you'll have your son ready at seven> o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make him an> honorary fireman for the whole day. He can come> down to the fire station, eat with us, go out on> all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! And if> you'll give us ! his sizes, we'll get a real fire> uniform for him, with a real fire hat-not a toy> one-with the emblem of the Phoenix Fire> Department on it, a yellow slicker like we wear> and rubber boots. They're all manufactured right> here in Phoenix, so we can get them fast."> Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy,> dressed him in his fire uniform and escorted him> from his hospital bed to the waiting hook and> ladder truck. Billy got to sit on the back of the> truck and help steer it back to the fire station.> He was in heaven. There were three fire calls in> Phoenix that day and Billy got to go out on all> three calls. He rode in the different fire> engines, the paramedic's van, and even the fire chief's car.> He was also videotaped for the local news> program. Having his dream come true, with all the> love and attention that was lavished upon him, so> deeply touched Billy that he lived three months> longer than any doctor thought possible.> One night all of his vital signs began to drop> dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in> the hospice concept that no one should die alone,> began to call the family members to the hospital.> Then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a> fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and asked> if it would be possible to send a fireman in> uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he> made his transition.> The chief replied, "We can do better than that.> We'll be there in five minutes.> Will you please do me a favor?> When you hear the sirens screaming and see the> lights flashing, will you announce over the PA> system that there is not a fire? It's just the> fire department coming to see one of its finest> members one more time.> And will you open the window to his room?> About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck> arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder> up to Billy's third floor open window> 16 firefighters climbed up the ladder into> Billy's room.> With his mother's permission, they> hugged him and held him and told him how much> they loved him.> With his dying breath, Billy> looked up at the fire chief and said,> "Chief, am I really a fireman now?"> "Billy, you are, and the Head Chief, Jesus, is holding your hand,"> the chief said.> With those words, Billy smiled and said,> "I know, He's been holding my hand all day, and the angels have been> singing.."> He closed his eyes one last time.>> My instructions were to send this to at least> four people that I wanted God to bless and I> picked you. Please pass this to at least four> people you want to be blessed.> This story is> powerful and there is nothing attached, please do> not break this pattern; uplifting stories are one> of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost> but a lot of rewards, let's continue to uplift one another.> *****************************> Stop telling God how big your storm is.> Instead>>>>> Tell your storm how big your God is!>>>>>

Leptospirosis-- VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ>>>>This incident happened recently in North Texas.>>>>A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke which>>she put into the refrigerator of the boat. On Monday she was taken to>>the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on>>Wednesday.>>>>The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the>>can of coke she drank from, not using a glass. Tests showed that the can>>was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis.>>>>Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly>>recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before>>drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and>>transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.>>>>A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more contaminated>>than public toilets (i.e).. full of germs and bacteria. So wash them>>with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal>>accident.>>>>Please forward this message to all the people you care about.>>(I JUST DID)>>

Remarkable Obituary Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Mr.Common Sense. Mr. Sense had been with us for many years. Noone knows for sure how old he was since his birth recordswere long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valueable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why theearly bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair.Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies(don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parentingstrategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. -Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassmentfor kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school forusing mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired forreprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Mr. Sense declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to astudent; but, could not inform the parents when a studentbecame pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses;and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge financialsettlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter,Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by twostepbrothers; My Rights and I am a Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on; if not, join the majority and do nothing.------------------------------------------------------------------------------
