INTRO
I’m some one who will play any game with you basketball to whatever but when I’m serious I’m some one who don’t play no games. This is the time to when I don’t play no games.
There are a lot of mind games in sports games like basketball, football, and wrestling. Mind games by psyching your opponent out, one form of this is trash talking your opponent another form is preparing your own mind and getting yourself ready and pumped up there is a final form and that is eye contact.
See when you play basketball or any sport or even in school, if you think you will succeed you will proverbs 23:7 as one thinks in there heart so are they. You have to think positive know you can do good.
In wrestling before it got bad and before it became a soap opera, wrestlers would play mind games. “THE LIVING LEGEND” LARRY ZYBYSCO once said “It’s the human game of chess.” He basically said it’s a mind game.
There was a group in the 80’s and 90’s called THE HORSEMEN this group was a group of bad guys that would play mind games psychological warefare with all of the other wrestlers. One Sting and Ric Flair these two have a great feud and great chemistry but most importantly they both played mind games.
In wrestling, one of the famous sayings of the group called the IV HORSEMEN mainly Ric Flair and Arn Anderson is “And that is the bottom line.”
As one great man said, “This is not bought and paid for this is a real life situation.” This same great man said, “This might be my only shot so I am going to make it my best.”

Donnie McClurkin had leukemia when he was a kid and his mom said we are not going to accept that today he is healed and sings the gospel.
I have MILD CEREBRAL PALSY. I did not walk until I was eighteen months old but my mom went through a prayer line and she was believing for my healing for me to walk. She came home from “campmeeting” and I was walking. I have been waiting to be healed for a long times fear has griped me because I have not been healed of yet and because I have never had a girlfriend. I’m not advertising I’m just saying it’s a mind game. I told you earlier how my mom had faith for me to walk at 18months old. Now in 2002 I was in a wheelchair. My walking got bad on September 27th September 28th I had to be carried out of the chicken festival. September 29 prayer began By Joyce Reed, October first again prayer by the prayer corner that night was the first time I was able to put my left foot down flat. October 5th I got a haircutt it was Saturday
I had to be carried out of the barber shop; that night my barber called and prayed with me that Sunday October 5th. October 9 first trip to see Doctor, I had an xray it showed I had a 48degree curvature. I had been given steroid pills for the pain but it did not sit well with me I could not keep nothing down me for a week. I had a MRI that Tuesday October 15th the MRI did not show anything. I had a bone scan that Friday October 18th,
October 22nd I go back the doctor again to find out a small buldge and was given an order for a wheelchair. I felt like I had given up being in the chair and all given up on my healing given up on everything but people was praying for me. December first 2002 was my night for my first miracle God is not done yet but it was the first time I was able to walk in over 2 months and the first time I was able to walk normally. December first was my night for a miracle and again God is not done yet.
Friday December 6 the spirit of fear came on me some how I had to go back to the doctor December 13th Terry Reed prayed with me December 8th and the youth group prayed with me the 10th I went to the doctor that Friday to get another xray my back was 30-35degree curavature then 48degree now it is 25degrees
THAT IS WHY THE SONG NO WEAPON IS MY SONG CAUSE NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER IT WON’T WORK FOR GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO HE WILL STAND BY HIS WORD HE WILL COME THROUGH

Notice it does not say they will recover 2 or 3 years ago or instantly or tomorrow but they shall recover
I was prayed for on many occasions and never received the miracle until a certain season; Because of fear and failure.
Diseases can be mind games, mind games of fear and failure. FEAR OF NEVER BEING HEALED CANCER AIDES THOSE ARE TWO DISEASES THAT STRIKES FEAR INTO EVERYONES HEART AND FAILURE BEING VERY SIMPLE MAKING A MISTAKE BUT FAILURE IS ONLY FAILURE IF YOU DON’T GET UP WHEN YOU FALL
PROPOSITION: ITS ALL A MIND GAME.
TRANSITION: I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT FEAR AND FAILURE BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE SHACKELES OF MIND GAMES THE DEVIL USES.
I. The first shackle of a mind game is FEAR
A. All throughout the Bible it says fear not it was said on a Joyce meyer tape that some one counted and found there was 365 “FEAR THOU NOTS” ONR FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR 2TIMOTHY 1:7 GOD HAS NOT GIVEN UN THE SPIRIT OF FEAR

C. Isaiah 26:3 IF WE TRUST IN GOD HE WILL KEEP US IN PERFECT PEACE BECAUSE OUR MIND IS STAYED ON HIM.

You might say how does the text have the Mind Games in it? Well we all fall I do not care how much of a spiritual front we try to put up. The devil will remind of us all of our fall we start thinking about it. The battle is won and lost in the mind
II. THE OTHER SHACKLES OF MIND GAMES IS FAILURE
A. IN OUR TEXT IT SAYS A JUST [RIGHTEOUS MAN FALLS 7 TIMES BUT RISES UP AGAIN PROVERBS 24:16 PSALMS 37:23,25 STATES I HAVE BEEN YOUNG AND BEEN OLD AND NEVER SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN OR SEED BEGGING FOR BREAD.. IT ALSO STATES THE STEPS OF A GOOD AND JUST MAN ARE ORDERED OF THE LORD.
B. Lets look at Samson and Peter they both fell and over came odds in different ways. Samson was a Nazerite. He was not allowed to touch any dead thing and he did in Judges 15 and he was not allowed to cutt his hair however he cut his hair well his “girlfriend” cutt his hair in Judges 16. The saddest words in the Bible are recorded in Judges 16 where it says Samson shook himself and knew not the spirit of the Lord had departed. Samsons hair began to grow back again, he prayed a prayer saying strenghthen me this one more time.
Peter was one to always stick his foot in his mouth. He got out of the boat walked on water but sank. He was one that said Lord I’ll never deny you. Jesus said before the cock crows you will deny me three times. The Bible says the last time Peter denied Jesus that he cursed the Movie the Passion of the Christ has it accurate, when they showed peter cursing to a maiden. But his eyes met Jesus and he wept bitterly. He repented. Peter in Acts 2-5 done many signs and wonders and 3000 got saved the first time that he preached.
I’m going to get real with you all because I believe in being spiritual and being real.

How many has ever watched television? The television is getting bad today now I’m not preaching against televisions cause I have one and watch it regularly but the things you watch sticks with you. In wrestling in 1990 maybe 89 but any way there was a wrestler Pappa Shango, he was a witch craft wrestler and I told God at “camp meeting” I would not watch it no more and for four years I never watched wrestling or soap operas. I loved soaps. Basic cable is just as bad as ppv things like Jerry springer and soap opera you can almost order that same stuff on ppv television. I CAN REMEMBER WATCHING HBO CINEMAX SHOWTIME AND THE MOVIE CHANNEL AND THE THINGS THAT I WATCHED AND SAW HAVE STAYED WITH ME. SIMPSONS THE ONE GAY EPISODE I WATCHED THAT AND IT HAS STUCK WITH ME.
GOD STARTED THE PROCESS OF RELATIONSHIPS BUT GOD MEANT FOR RELATIONSHIPS TO BE IN THE CONFINES OF BOYFRIEND GIRLFRIEND NO SEX OR MAKING OUT UNTIL MARIAGE GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE
BUT How many has ever had a relationship in making out form or in any other form?
I’m not preaching against having relationships because God does forgive. But what you do sticks with you. You will remember that man and or that woman, you will be comparing your husband or wife to them.

Mind Games has been going on since the beginning of time. The devil has no new tricks that is why we should put the whole full armor of God on to where we can with stand the devil and after we have done all we can do just STAND.
Yes, I know I used a lot of wrestling analogies but wrestling is something that I can personally relate to because they are a lot of mind games in wrestling. There are mind games in other sports but I just personally felt that wrestling had more of the umpth that I was looking for.
Like Joyce Meyer, you might not agree with everything I have said but you will remember it. It is all A MIND GAME

We all have mind games but there is a price for every mind game Romans 6:23 the price the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Ephesians 6:10-18 talks about the whole full armor of God the helmet of salvation to guard your mind 2Corinthians 10:3-5 casting down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring every thought into obedience to Christ TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION TOMORROW IS PROMISED TO NO ONE
