SENATE CONFIRMS JOHN G. ROBERTS TO BE CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE UNITED STATES, 78-22. PRESIDENT BUSH'S PICK JOHN ROBERTS CONFIRMED TO SUCCEED WILLIAM REHNQUIST AS CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE U.S. SUPREME COURT.

Roberts will be sworn in at 3pm.
