JOSHUA TIME 101

This is from tech specialist from VOC REHAB

I wanted to get back with you on what
I have found:Pricing wise, it will be best for me to go with the Gateway.
This is the computer that I have specified.
Gateway M250EWindows XP ProGateway
Complete Security Bundle256 MB RAM80 GB Hard drive
CD-RW/DVD combo drive14" Widescreen
Primary 12 cell batteryIntegrated modem and network adapter
Integrated wireless3 year part/labor/technical3 year accidental damage
Gateway carrying caseport replicator with AC adapter
In addition, I can specify a printer for you, but it would be a basic inkjet printer, like the Epson Stylus C66 Printer with a USB cable. The all-in-one unit is nice, but it is not something that we typically purchasefor a student unless I can justify it as relating to both work and thedisability. Mostly these are convenience items.

I appreciate your help. I believe a laptop will help me more than a dana oranything else. If we got anything else I would needanother desktop and I remeber you saying that if wegot a desktop to it would have the same specs as mylaptop had. I built a gateway it is in the email andyou have the hp we built.Would this be my laptop? When would I get this?I have checked gateway and dell. If you can get me a hp the one we built or a gatewaywith hopefully the same specs. I just built a gateway laptop the thing about gatewaysare they do not have the docking station that is theonly differance I found. here iss the link and specshttp://gateway.com/products/GConfig/prodconfig.asp?system_id=m360x&seg=hm&configaction= System Gateway® M360X Additional Items 80GB 4200rpm Ultra ATA hard drive [ +US$60.00] One year accidental damage protection [ +US$129.00] Casual Carrying Case [ +US$49.99] Primary 12-cell Lithium ion battery with AC pack and1 yr. limited battery warranty (to accommodateadditional cells, this battery extends beyond the endof the system - limited time promotion) [ +US$60.00] Additional primary 8-cell Lithium ion battery and 1yr. limited battery warranty [ +US$119.99] Extra AC Pack [ +US$39.99] 90-watt AC Adapter (6620091) [ +US$69.99] Epson CX3810 Multifunction Printer (free after$89.99 in mail-in rebates, cable sold separately)(6620537) [ +US$89.99] Belkin 10ft. ALSO

I did forget to answer your other questions."Would this be my laptop? When would I get this?"This would be "your" laptop as long as you made progress toward yourvocational goal and continued on with your IPE, as determined by you andRick. The state actually maintains ownership of the computer itself for 7years, after which the ownership reverts to you. Again, all this assumesthat you continue working with VR to obtain employment (including going toschool). It doesn't matter who pays for school - as long as you are makinggood on your responsibilities as part of your IPE with Rick. Very seldom dowe ever take a computer back - but we have done it- when the individual hasindicated that they are no longer interested in obtaining employment. When you will get it is determined by how quickly Rick gets the orderinginformation (I told you I would get it to him by Friday), how quickly he canget it approved by his supervisor (since computers are not assistivetechnology, he has to go through his supervisor), how quickly his assistantcan do the authorization, and then how quickly the item ships (usually acouple of weeks). If I had to guess, I'd say it could be as long as a monthto six weeks, but I am not making any promises. There are a lot ofvariables to consider and I don't have control over most of them. I willmake my Friday deadline for getting the report to Rick, though.

SO IT DOES LOOK LIKE I MIGHT BE GETTING A LAPTOP. FOR MY WORK AND FOR SCHOOLING.

JOSHUA
